Club History

The club was founded on the Peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1960 and chartered August 19, 1967. In August 2010 we celebrated our 50th Anniversary with a reenactment of our original tour and a gala picnic celebration. There are currently over 200 members, including spouses.

Eligibility requirements: You must be sponsored by a current member and have an interest in old cars.

The aim of the club is to perpetuate the old-time and collector automobile and to promote general interest in old cars. We also encourage and facilitate group tours, runs and outings.

We sponsor "Friendship Day" on the 3rd Sunday in May at 3 Lagoon Dr. in Redwood City, California. Clubs and enthusiasts gather to show and view the huge turnout of all brands of collector cars, to socialize, and to eat the BBQ lunch. Our 2016 Friendship Day will be the 41st time this event has been held since the first time in 1963.

We have approximately one tour each month to scenic or interesting local places where we can drive and display our old cars. Club members also join together in attending many other old-car events.

In addition to touring, we always meet on the 4th Friday evening each month (no meeting in December) to plan future events, socialize over refreshments, and enjoy a program related to the hobby.
